Dubai Health has announced a comprehensive preparedness plan for New Year’s Eve 2026, deploying more than 1,900 medical and administrative staff and activating a field hospital to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors during large-scale celebrations across the emirate.
The plan covers hospitals, primary healthcare centres, ambulance services, and on-ground medical teams positioned at key event and fireworks locations expected to draw large crowds. Dubai Health said the measures are designed to provide rapid medical response, manage emergencies efficiently, and maintain continuity of routine healthcare services throughout the holiday period.
A fully equipped field hospital will be operational near major celebration zones to handle urgent cases and reduce pressure on nearby hospitals. In addition, emergency departments across public hospitals will be placed on high alert, with increased staffing levels and enhanced coordination with ambulance services.
Dubai Health confirmed that ambulance response capacity has been significantly boosted, with additional ambulances, paramedics, and first responders deployed across strategic locations. Advanced communication systems will be used to coordinate responses in real time and ensure swift patient transfers when required.
The authority is working closely with Dubai Police, civil defence, RTA, and other government partners as part of an integrated, multi-agency approach to crowd safety and emergency management. Clear protocols have been established for incident response, patient triage, and escalation.
Residents and visitors have been advised to follow public safety guidelines, stay hydrated, avoid overcrowded areas, and seek medical help immediately if needed. Dubai Health reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public health and delivering prompt, high-quality medical care as the UAE prepares to welcome 2026 with celebrations across the country.
