A young man was killed after a powerful blast occurred while he was allegedly carrying explosives on a motorcycle in Madhya Pradesh, police officials said on Monday. The incident triggered panic in the area, with local residents reporting a loud explosion followed by debris scattered across the road.
According to preliminary investigations, the explosion took place while the man was riding the motorcycle, causing instant fatal injuries. The motorcycle was completely destroyed in the blast, and parts of it were found scattered several metres away. No other casualties were reported in the incident.
Police teams rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and cordoned off the area for safety. A forensic team was called in to examine the site and determine the nature and quantity of explosives involved. Authorities said it is still unclear where the explosives were sourced from and what their intended use was.
Senior police officials stated that an investigation has been launched to ascertain whether the explosives were being transported illegally and if the deceased had any links to criminal or extremist activities.
