Qatar and Kuwait warn against contaminated Nestle infant formula

Authorities in Qatar and Kuwait have issued public warnings regarding specific batches of Nestlé infant formula after concerns were raised over potential contamination, urging parents and caregivers to exercise caution and check product details carefully.
In statements released by health and consumer protection agencies, the two Gulf countries said the alerts followed reports from international monitoring bodies indicating that certain batches of infant formula could pose health risks if consumed. The warnings apply only to identified product batches, not to all Nestlé infant formula products available in the market.
Officials in both countries confirmed that precautionary measures are being taken, including the removal of the affected batches from store shelves and the strengthening of inspection and monitoring procedures. Retailers have been instructed to cooperate fully with authorities to ensure consumer safety.
Parents and caregivers have been advised to verify batch numbers, manufacturing dates, and product codes before use, and to immediately stop using any product suspected to be affected. Health authorities also encouraged consumers to report any adverse reactions or concerns through official channels.
Nestlé, in response to similar alerts in various markets, has previously stated that it works closely with regulators to address safety issues and implement recalls when necessary, emphasizing that consumer safety remains a top priority.
Health officials in Qatar and Kuwait reassured the public that the situation is being closely monitored and stressed the importance of relying on official announcements for accurate and up-to-date information.
